{"id":400915,"date":"2026-08-08T05:02:15","date_gmt":"2026-08-08T05:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/400915\/"},"modified":"2026-08-08T05:02:15","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T05:02:15","slug":"bowtech-closing-eugene-factory-relocating-to-houston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/400915\/","title":{"rendered":"Bowtech closing Eugene factory, relocating to Houston"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Eugene-based archery products company Bowtech is closing its production facility and relocating the company to Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>The company<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo\/?fbid=1376753691215191&amp;set=pb.100066417199586.-2207520000\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> announced the relocation on social media<\/a> earlier this week, saying the last day that its factory pro shop will be open is Sept. 5.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ccwd.hecc.oregon.gov\/Layoff\/uploads\/LOT9555\/WARN%209555%20Bowtech,%20LLC.pdf\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">A WARN notice sent to the state<\/a> on July 27 shows that 43 non-union employees will be laid off in waves starting around Sept. 30 and lasting through Feb. 27, 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The titles of affected positions deal mostly with manufacturing, but also include some marketing positions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bowtecharchery.com\/careers\/\" class=\"Link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The company\u2019s website<\/a> shows 15 openings for positions located in Houston that have similar titles to those being laid off in Eugene.<\/p>\n<p>A representative of Bowtech was unavailable for comment Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Eugene-based archery products company Bowtech is closing its production facility and relocating the company to Houston, Texas.
