EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 La Nube STEAM Discovery Center in downtown El Paso marked its second anniversary with a community birthday celebration Saturday, Aug. 8.<\/p>\n

To celebrate \u201cTwo Years of Discovery,\u201d La Nube offered free admission for children during the birthday event.<\/p>\n

Since opening, La Nube has welcomed more than 360,000 guests, connecting children and families through STEAM experiences.<\/p>\n

Chief Strategy Officer of La Nube Mick Martinez said that this anniversary allows for the chance to celebrate community.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past two years, we have seen how curiosity brings families together, builds confidence in children, and sparks a love of learning that reaches far beyond our walls,” Martinez said. \u201cCommunity is at the heart of both our organizations, and this birthday is a chance to celebrate El Paso\u2019s children, families, and the power of imagination.\u201d<\/p>\n

The celebration included a special meet and greet with Miffy, complimentary birthday t-shirts for kids, and several surprise activities.<\/p>\n
