NEDERLAND\/JEFFERSON COUNTY \u2014 Law enforcement officers made quick work of catching three juveniles from Houston armed with handguns and driving a stolen car who hit two popular gas station convenience stores and a vape shop.<\/p>\n
Nederland Assistant Police Chief Andy Arnold tells KFDM the juveniles are all linked to the overnight crime wave from 12:09 a.m. Sunday through 2 a.m.<\/p>\n
Arnold says the three juveniles stole a vehicle in Houston and headed east to begin their armed robbery spree.<\/p>\n
They held up: Bulldog Express, 1113 North Twin City Highway; Crossroads Grocery & Deli, 2521 North Twin City Highway at Spurlock, just outside of Nederland; and a vape shop on FM 365.<\/p>\n
Police asked anyone who lives from 1st Street to 6th Street to check their home surveillance footage, including residences north and south of Nederland Avenue on Carriage Lane. The suspects were believed to be in that area.<\/p>\n
Arnold says the information paid off.
