EL PASO, Texas (KTSM<\/a>) \u2014 The countdown to\u00a0WinterFest\u00a02026 has begun, and the City of El Paso wants help from the community to make this year\u2019s event bigger, brighter and better than ever. <\/p>\n

The City is seeking local businesses, food trucks, artists, performers, and merchants to help create this year\u2019s holiday tradition.<\/p>\n

WinterFest\u00a0returns to Downtown El Paso the weekend before Thanksgiving on Nov. 21, through Jan. 3, 2027.<\/p>\n

WinterFest\u00a0transforms Downtown into a holiday destination featuring more than 1 million sparkling lights, festive entertainment, holiday treats, an outdoor ice-skating rink, a holiday market, and the City\u2019s only illuminated holiday parade.<\/p>\n

Applications have already opened for a variety of opportunities to participate in this year\u2019s celebration. <\/p>\n

SCHERR LEGATE LIGHTS PARADE<\/p>\n

The Scherr Legate Lights Parade is looking for floats, marching bands, dance groups and more to help make this year\u2019s parade bigger, brighter and more festive. Space is limited, so parade participants are encouraged to apply early.<\/p>\n

OPENING DAY FOOD TRUCKS & ARTISAN VENDORS<\/p>\n

Bring your best bites and holiday finds to\u00a0WinterFest\u00a0Opening Day. Food trucks and artisan\/merchandise vendors are invited to showcase their food, crafts and unique creations as the holiday season kicks off.<\/p>\n

HOLIDAY FOOD TRUCK VILLAGE<\/p>\n

Food truck owners can be part of the\u00a0WinterFest\u00a0experience all season long by joining the Holiday Food Truck Village in the heart of Downtown. Limited spaces are available, so food truck owners are encouraged to apply early.<\/p>\n

WINTERFEST\u00a0SEASON DECORATION SPONSORS<\/p>\n

New this year \u2014 Businesses and organizations can help make\u00a0WinterFest\u00a0even more magical by sponsoring giant holiday decorations throughout the\u00a0WinterFest\u00a0footprint. Sponsors will have the opportunity to help add even more sparkle to Downtown from Opening Day through the end of the season.<\/p>\n

The application deadline for all opportunities is Sept. 25.\u00a0<\/p>\n

WinterFest\u00a0welcomed nearly 600,000 visitors during the 2025 season, including approximately 70,000 visitors on Opening Day alone, the City of El Paso said.<\/p>\n
