{"id":402620,"date":"2026-08-10T15:00:25","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T15:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/402620\/"},"modified":"2026-08-10T15:00:25","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T15:00:25","slug":"alleged-shooter-in-fort-worth-taken-into-custody-after-barricade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/402620\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged shooter in Fort Worth taken into custody after barricade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/fort-worth\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fort Worth\u00a0<\/a>police took a 23-year-old man into custody after he<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/crime\/article\/1-wounded-officer-involved-shooting-dallas-22377381.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> briefly barricaded<\/a> himself, in a standoff that lasted from Sunday night into early Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The man was arrested in connection\u00a0with a fatal shooting reported Sunday at 8:40\u00a0p.m. in the 5600 block of Talons Crest\u00a0Circle, Fort Worth police said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p>Officers found an unidentified man shot inside a vehicle after arriving to the location. &#8220;The suspect is believed to be known by the victim,&#8221; according to\u00a0the news release.<\/p>\n<p>Police said the suspected shooter barricaded himself in a nearby home.
