Dallas police officers were called to a reported robbery and carjacking on Sunnyvale Street, which is in the Cedar Crest area of Dallas. They later located the stolen vehicle about 15 miles away in Far North Dallas.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">During the felony traffic stop, a Dallas police officer fired one shot when the suspect stepped out of the car. Police have not said whether the suspect pointed a weapon at the officer.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">No one was hit, and the suspect was taken into custody.<\/p>\n<p>  Apartment Stabbing <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/maxresdefault-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"auto\" width=\"932\" height=\"524\" data-v-2fe2fe3e=\"\"\/>  <\/p>\n<p original-article-post=\"\" origination_station=\"KDFW\" data-v-ec26887a=\"\" data-v-94395e58=\"\">The backstory:<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">The second officer-involved shooting happened on Friday morning. The suspect in this case was a man accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend outside her Northeast Dallas apartment complex.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">When officers arrived at the apartment complex off Park Lane, they saw 37-year-old Isidoro Melo-Munoz on top of the woman. They reportedly ordered him to drop the knife but he refused.<\/p>\n<p data-v-94395e58=\"\">That\u2019s when one officer opened fire. Melo-Munoz was not hit and fled the scene.
