SAN ANTONIO – A man is hospitalized after he was shot during an apparent fight early Tuesday morning on the West Side.<\/p>\n
The incident was reported around 3:30 a.m. on Culebra Road near Callaghan Road.<\/p>\n
Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the groin and was transported to the hospital in stable condition. He is expected to recover.<\/p>\n
The man told officers he had gotten into a fight and was shot, but he did not provide any information about a possible suspect. He also told investigators the shooting happened at a nearby dollar store.<\/p>\n
However, officers were unable to locate a crime scene, and police said there were questions about the victim’s account of what happened.<\/p>\n
Investigators are working to determine exactly where and how the shooting occurred.<\/p>\n
