SPRING, Texas (KTRK) — A woman has been arrested and charged in connection with her two-year-old daughter’s beating days after her boyfriend was charged with the same crime, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

Deputies say Jazmin Cisneros, 28, and Gerardo Gonzalez, 29, showed up at a Spring gas station Thursday night seeking help for the girl, who was unresponsive.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say Gonzalez admitted to punching the girl in the head and all over her body as well as stomping on her.<\/p>\n

He was arrested and charged with injury to a child Friday.<\/p>\n

Cisneros was arrested Tuesday and now faces the same charge.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors say Cisneros knew about prior abuse and failed to report it because she didn’t want Gonzalez to go to jail.<\/p>\n

It hasn’t been alleged that Cisneros took part in any of the abuse.<\/p>\n

Her bail was set at $500,000 during a probable cause hearing Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

Her daughter remains in the hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n
