Fort Worth’s Waterside Shopping Center has lost another restaurant tenant.<\/p>\n

The Rim<\/a> restaurant that served “food with soul<\/a>” in a funky rustic setting, closed for good on July 26.<\/p>\n

A sign posted to their door states, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of this location.” The restaurant encouraged customers to continue eating with them at The Rim’s<\/a> flagship location in Burleson.<\/p>\n

The reason for closure is unknown, and the only statement released from the restaurant was the paper sign posted to the door.<\/p>\n

The Rim opened in Burleson in 2018, and then the Fort Worth location followed in 2021. It was founded by Brent Johnson with chef Keith Hicks, who served a popular chicken-and-waffles brunch.<\/p>\n

California-based Xperience Restaurant Group bought the Rim restaurants<\/a>, along with Johnson’s Rio Mambo restaurants, in 2023. All four Rio Mambo locations<\/a> in Fort Worth, Colleyville, Burleson and Weatherford remain.<\/p>\n

The Rim’s Waterside closure also follows the announcement that Piattello Italian Kitchen<\/a> is leaving the shopping center. The Italian restaurant, founded by Fort Worth chef Marcus Palsay, will find a new home in The Shops at Clearfork.
