The Spirit of San Antonio (SOSA) Marching Band Premiere kicks off the excitement by introducing students and families to the songs, chants and cheers that energize UTSA Athletic events throughout the year. The weekend continues with two longtime Roadrunner Days favorites: Late Night at the Rec and Rowdy Glow. These events give students the chance to meet fellow Roadrunners, experience campus traditions and start building connections before classes begin.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29455 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/late-night-at-the-rec-1024x597.jpg\" alt=\"An instructor leads a large, energetic group dance workout in a crowded gym, with participants mirroring her moves and spectators watching above.\" width=\"1024\" height=\"597\"  \/>Late Night at the Rec helps promote student well-being and increase awareness of recreational programs.<\/p>\n<p>Students looking to join a student organization or explore volunteer opportunities this semester will also benefit from a scheduling change to the Get Involved Fair. Now taking place the day before classes begin, the event gives students with an earlier opportunity to connect with student organizations and campus departments and find ways to ger involved from the start of the semester.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond social events and traditions, Roadrunner Days highlights the many resources available to help students succeed. Throughout Roadrunner Days, students can explore Student Success Center open houses, attend Wellbeing at the Union, connect with employers at the Part-Time Job Fair, and learn about services that support their academic, personal and professional goals.<\/p>\n<p>Roadrunner Days also includes programming designed specifically for students at the Downtown Campus.
