SAN ANTONIO -An unannounced inspection of the ICE Check-In facility by U.S. Rep. Joaquin Castro described crowded holding rooms and detainees he said were picked up on their way to work.<\/p>\n
In a post on X, Castro said he \u201cjust finished an unannounced inspection\u201d of the facility and \u201csaw 40 men packed into 2 holding rooms.\u201d He said most of the men \u201chad been picked up in the morning, on their way to work,\u201d adding, \u201cTheir dusty work boots were off to the side. One pair had an American flag on it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Castro also said he spoke with families who had someone being held inside the facility.<\/p>\n
