<\/p>\nHOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — All eastbound mainlanes have reopened on I-10 after the Houston Avenue Bridge was hit again, this time by a truck carrying a large spool, TxDOT says.<\/p>\n
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office also reported the incident, saying an 18-wheeler hit the bridge because of its high load.<\/p>\n
Houston TranStar reports that two eastbound right lanes of I-10 were closed due to the incident. TxDOT said its crews responded to the scene.<\/p>\n
As of 3 p.m., the scene has cleared, and all of the main eastbound lanes are back open, according to Houston TranStar.<\/p>\n

The Houston Avenue Bridge has become infamous for being struck by high loads, with the bridge having been hit well over 70 times since 2025.<\/p>\n
The bridge clearance is 14 feet 3 inches.<\/p>\n
