(Copyright 2026 by KPRC Click2Houston &#8211; All rights reserved.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">HOUSTON \u2013 An 18-wheeler carrying an oversized load struck the Houston Avenue bridge on Interstate 10 eastbound Friday morning, blocking two lanes and prompting officials to assess the bridge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. on I-10 eastbound at Houston Avenue, according to traffic information.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The truck was carrying a large spindle and had oversized-load placards displayed. The load remains lodged against the underside of the bridge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The two right lanes were blocked while Houston police and the Texas Department of Transportation worked to remove the truck.
