{"id":408371,"date":"2026-08-16T19:44:07","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T19:44:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/408371\/"},"modified":"2026-08-16T19:44:07","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T19:44:07","slug":"texas-police-officer-gets-into-hilarious-boxing-match-with-dive-bombing-bird-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/408371\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas police officer gets into hilarious boxing match with dive-bombing bird"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SOUTHSIDE PLACE, Texas (CBS12) \u2014 A Texas police officer found himself in an unexpected showdown outside the station \u2014 with an opponent who had wings, no respect for the badge and apparently unlimited rematches.<\/p>\n<p>Video posted Friday by the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile.php?id=61576134643705\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Southside Place Police Department<\/a> shows an officer standing near a department vehicle when a bird begins repeatedly swooping toward him.<\/p>\n<p>At first, the officer tries to keep an eye on his airborne adversary.
