Sherman Street, Lingco Drive reconstruction<\/p>\n<p>Project: Crews in Richardson are reconstructing Sherman Street from Kaufman Street to Lingco Drive, and Lingco Drive from Sherman Street to Spring Valley Road.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Pavement installation on Sherman Street is now complete. Concrete replacement is underway on the south half of Lingco Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: winter 2023-summer 2026Cost: $6.56 millionFunding source: city of Richardson<\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/allen\/transportation\/check-out-3-transportation-projects-affecting-allen-residents-142197\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Allen 2026 Street and Alley Rehabilitation project<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Project: The project consists of reconstruction of existing deteriorated street and alley pavement identified in a citywide pavement condition assessment survey completed in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Update: The contractor is working on completing pavement repairs at Heritage Parkway and Alma Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: Construction expected to be complete in March 2027Cost: $4.87 millionFunding source: city of Allen<\/p>\n<p>3. Park Boulevard concrete repair<\/p>\n<p>Project: The project will complete asphalt repairs on Park Boulevard between Preston Road and Independence Parkway.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Work began on the night of July 19 to repair the section of asphalt between Ohio Drive and Preston Road. Work will continue during nighttime.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: July 10, 2026-Dec. 10, 2027Cost: $2.6 millionFunding source: city of Plano<\/p>\n<p>4. Dallas North Tollway extension<\/p>\n<p>Project: Dallas North Tollway is being extended from US 380 in Prosper to FM 428 in Celina. A future phase will further extend the tollway from FM 428 to the Grayson County line.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Bridge decks, which as the load-bearing part of the tollway, have been completed from US 380 to Light Farms Way, according to a North Texas Tollway Authority progress report.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: Estimated completion in late 2027Cost: $350 millionFunding source: NTTA<\/p>\n<p>Completed projects<\/p>\n<p>5. <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/mckinney\/transportation\/check-out-updates-for-5-transportation-projects-in-mckinney\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Industrial Boulevard illumination project<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Project: New median illumination was installed along Industrial Boulevard between SH 5 and Airport Drive in McKinney.<\/p>\n<p>Update: Construction is complete as of July 2026 and the new lighting is operational.<\/p>\n<p>Timeline: March 2025-July 2026Cost: $700,000Funding source: city of McKinney, state and federal grants<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Check out five ongoing and completed transportation projects around Dallas-Fort Worth.
