Credit: Aeroprints.com<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recognizing that the flight path passed near his family\u2019s neighborhood, the pilot contacted Air Traffic Control (ATC) with a special request: permission to level off at a lower altitude so his children could spot his plane from their backyard swimming pool.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey\u2019re excited to see Dad come over,\u201d the pilot told the controller over the radio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given the clear sky and excellent visibility, the controller approved the maneuver, instructing the pilot to remain above 3,100 feet.
