The body of a 36-year-old man was found Sunday morning after an overnight search at Joe Pool Lake near Grand Prairie<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Grand Prairie Fire Department officials responded to a possible drowning<\/a> call about 5:15 p.m. Saturday after a witness reported a man not resurfacing after he was seen\u00a0swimming near a boat, according to a Sunday post on Facebook<\/a>. Officials said the man\u00a0wasn\u2019t wearing a life jacket.<\/p>\n

Grand Prairie\u2019s public safety dive team searched for the man until nightfall Saturday and resumed operations Sunday morning<\/p>\n

According to the statement, this marks the\u00a0third drowning at the lake this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the lake season continues, GPFD strongly encourages the public to wear a life vest or an appropriate personal flotation device while near or in the water,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

Several other drownings have been reported across the metroplex this summer.<\/p>\n

Officials recovered the body of Freddy Ferrer Bracamonte<\/a>, 62, from Benbrook Lake in Tarrant County a day after he\u00a0was last seen in a designated swimming\u00a0area on July 12, according to a previous statement from the Texas Parks & Wildlife department.<\/p>\n

A 15-year-old died on June 27 after entering Lake Jacksonville in East Texas<\/a> to help a 5-year-old whose inflatable device had drifted into deeper water, according to the Jacksonville Police Department. Jacksonville is about 120 miles southeast of Dallas.<\/p>\n
