{"id":409887,"date":"2026-08-18T15:20:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T15:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/409887\/"},"modified":"2026-08-18T15:20:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T15:20:08","slug":"tdi-names-new-deputy-commissioner-of-strategy-and-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/409887\/","title":{"rendered":"TDI names new deputy commissioner of Strategy and Performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>        <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"placeholder image\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/michelle-kranes-2026.jpg\" style=\"border: solid 1px #124c95; border-width: 1px; margin-top: 4px;\" width=\"225\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) announced Michelle Kranes as deputy commissioner of the Strategy and Performance Division on August 17.<\/p>\n<p>Kranes will oversee the division that supports TDI\u2019s strategic planning, performance and risk management, and process improvement through technology, automation, and business innovation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMichelle brings fresh energy and a strong commitment to public service that will help us strengthen TDI\u2019s operations,\u201d said TDI Insurance Commissioner Amanda Crawford. \u201cHer leadership will advance our core values of efficiency, excellence, and accountability as we modernize and improve how we serve Texans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kranes started her state career at the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission, where she evaluated state agencies and developed recommendations to enhance efficiency, accountability, and results.
