EL PASO, TEXAS \u2014 iFLY El Paso has permanently closed after seven years of offering indoor skydiving experiences in the Borderland.<\/p>\n
The business announced the closure in an Instagram message thanking customers, experienced flyers and members of the local skydiving community who supported the facility over the years.<\/p>\n
iFLY El Paso opened in 2019 and provided visitors with the experience of simulated free fall inside an indoor vertical wind tunnel.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeven years can create a lifetime of memories,\u201d the company said. \u201cSince iFLY El Paso opened in 2019, we\u2019ve had the privilege of watching people experience flight for the very first time, discover a new passion, push themselves to learn something new, and form friendships that stretched far beyond the tunnel.\u201d<\/p>\n
The company also thanked indoor and outdoor skydivers who regularly used the facility and helped grow El Paso\u2019s bodyflight community.<\/p>\n
\u201cYour dedication to flying, your willingness to teach and learn from one another, and your love for this community are what gave this tunnel its heart,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n
iFLY El Paso did not provide a reason for the permanent closure in its announcement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe doors may be closed and the wind may have stopped, but everything this community built together will remain with the people who were part of it,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n
