{"id":410855,"date":"2026-08-19T13:38:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T13:38:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/410855\/"},"modified":"2026-08-19T13:38:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T13:38:08","slug":"new-texas-theme-park-cotaland-sets-opening-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/410855\/","title":{"rendered":"New Texas theme park Cotaland sets opening date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cotaland, a new <a href=\"https:\/\/blooloop.com\/theme-park\/in-depth\/most-visited-theme-parks\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">theme park<\/a> located at the Circuit of the Americas race track in Austin, Texas, has announced its official opening date.<\/p>\n<p>Debuting on 26 September, the new park combines family-friendly entertainment, thrilling rides and the excitement of motorsports.<\/p>\n<p>After launching, <a href=\"https:\/\/cotaland.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cotaland<\/a> will offer major thrill rides, family attractions, immersive entertainment, seasonal events, motorsports-themed experiences, and a unique location.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cotaland was created to be far more than a traditional amusement park,&#8221; said founder Bobby Epstein. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is where theme park thrills, world-class racing, live entertainment and family experiences come together in a way that doesn\u2019t exist anywhere else in the country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The park, which has been in development for five years, has already opened some of its attractions and experiences.<\/p>\n<p>Circuit Breaker by Vekoma Rides, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vekoma.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Dutch roller coaster specialist<\/a>, launched briefly for preview rides for the race track&#8217;s Christmas holiday lights event in December.<\/p>\n<p>The ride will officially launch with the rest of the park on 26 September, making it the second Vekoma Tilt Coaster to open in North America after Siren&#8217;s Curse at Cedar Point.<\/p>\n<p>Also opening at Cotaland is <a href=\"https:\/\/blooloop.com\/best-new-roller-coasters-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Palindrome<\/a>, a unique Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster with a shuttle style, two inversions, a height of 95 feet and a maximum speed of 51 mph.<\/p>\n<p>Attractions at Cotaland include the Soggy Logger log flume, the Cloud Flyer swing ride, the Cotaland Express train ride, a Ferris wheel, karting experiences, and family coasters.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/blooloop.com\/news\/universal-kids-resort-opens-texas\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Universal Kids Resort<\/a> opened in Frisco, Texas as the first-ever theme park created for young children by Universal Destinations &amp; Experiences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Cotaland, a new theme park located at the Circuit of the Americas race track in Austin, Texas, has&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":410856,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[11],"tags":[132,134,133,143468,5036,5037,5038,5039,5035,3416],"class_list":["post-410855","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-austin","tag-austin","tag-austin-headlines","tag-austin-news","tag-theme-park-construction","tag-theme-park-design","tag-theme-park-investment","tag-theme-park-management","tag-theme-park-rides","tag-themed-entertainment","tag-usa"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/410855","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=410855"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/410855\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/410856"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=410855"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=410855"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=410855"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
