{"id":411435,"date":"2026-08-20T02:14:11","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T02:14:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/411435\/"},"modified":"2026-08-20T02:14:11","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T02:14:11","slug":"weekend-road-closures-loop-1604-mainlanes-frontage-roads-to-close-for-expansion-work-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/411435\/","title":{"rendered":"WEEKEND ROAD CLOSURES: Loop 1604 mainlanes, frontage roads to close for expansion work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN ANTONIO &#8211; Drivers traveling through the Loop 1604 and Interstate 10 interchange should prepare for major closures this weekend as crews continue work on the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas Department of Transportation will close the eastbound and westbound Loop 1604 main lanes at I-10, along with the eastbound and westbound I-10 main lanes and I-10 frontage roads at Loop 1604.<\/p>\n<p>The closures are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, and continue through 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, weather permitting.<\/p>\n<p>All flyover ramps at the Loop 1604 and I-10 interchange will remain open.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers on Loop 1604 will be directed to exit before the interchange, travel along the frontage roads and re-enter the highway at the first available entrance ramp.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers traveling on I-10 will detour using the Loop 1604 flyovers and frontage roads.
