Galleria Dallas<\/a> will spotlight the Grant Halliburton Foundation throughout September with an installation marking the Dallas nonprofit\u2019s 20th anniversary and National Suicide Prevention Month.<\/p>\n

The Art of Hope: Celebrating 20 Years of Grant Halliburton Foundation will be on display Sept. 1-27 on Level 1 of the mall, across from Sephora. The installation is part of Galleria<\/a> Dallas\u2019 Gallery Wall program, which highlights a local or national charity each month.<\/p>\n

The Grant Halliburton Foundation<\/a> works to strengthen mental health resources for children, teens and young adults, promote mental health education and suicide prevention. The Gallery Wall will highlight the foundation\u2019s programs, events and resources, as well as its history over the past two decades.<\/p>\n

Visitors can scan a QR code at the installation to access mental health resources, upcoming events and information about Journey: The Art and Legacy of Grant Halliburton, an exhibition featuring Halliburton\u2019s<\/a> paintings, drawings, writings, poetry and music. \u201cJourney\u201d will run Sept. 8-25 at the Center for BrainHealth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThroughout our 20th anniversary year, we\u2019ve reflected on how Grant\u2019s life and legacy grew into two decades of work to strengthen youth mental health and prevent suicide,\u201d said T.J. Griffin, vice president of communications at Grant Halliburton Foundation. \u201cDuring National Suicide Prevention Month, our installation at Galleria Dallas gives families a way to learn about mental health, recognize warning signs, find resources and see how each of us can help create a community of hope.\u201d<\/p>\n

The foundation will also host \u201cHope in Every Color,\u201d a free children\u2019s art activity, from noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 12 on Level 3 near the Play Place. Inspired by Halliburton\u2019s artwork, the activity will encourage children to use colors, lines and shapes to express feelings. Older children can respond to prompts including \u201cHope feels like\u2026\u201d and \u201cSomeone I can talk to is\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNational Suicide Prevention Month is about more than awareness. It\u2019s about making sure people know where to turn,\u201d Galleria Dallas Director of Marketing and Partnerships Audrey Miranda said. \u201cGrant Halliburton Foundation has spent 20 years building that path to help, and our Gallery Wall gives us a way to put those resources in front of the thousands of people who walk through our doors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both the Gallery Wall installation and Sept. 12 art activity are free.
