{"id":414143,"date":"2026-08-22T22:26:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-22T22:26:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/414143\/"},"modified":"2026-08-22T22:26:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-22T22:26:08","slug":"bexar-county-announces-free-flu-vaccination-events-this-fall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/414143\/","title":{"rendered":"Bexar County announces free flu vaccination events this fall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bexar County residents will be able to get free flu shots through a series of county-sponsored vaccination events this fall.<\/p>\n<p>University Health and Bexar County Commissioners Court have jointly organized four drive-through influenza vaccination events, which will take place in each of the county\u2019s precincts throughout September and October.<\/p>\n<p>The first clinic, hosted by Pct. 1 Commissioner Rebeca Clay-Flores, will be held Sept. 12 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Pct. 1 satellite office located on 3505 Pleasanton Road.<\/p>\n<p>Another clinic, hosted by Pct. 4 Commissioner Tommy Calvert, will be held Sept. 19 from 8 a.m. to noon at Freeman Coliseum, 3201 E Houston St.<\/p>\n<p>A third clinic, hosted by Pct. 2 Commissioner Justin Rodriguez, will be held Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon at Gustafson Stadium, 7001\u00a0Culebra Rd.<\/p>\n<p>The final clinic, hosted by Pct.\u00a03 Commissioner Grant Moody, will be held Oct. 10 from 8 a.m. to noon at Dub Farris Athletic Complex, 8400\u00a0North Loop 1604 W.<\/p>\n<p>Flu season starts in October and ends in May, peaking from December through February.
