San Antonio police are investigating after a man’s decomposed body was discovered Thursday morning in the attic area of an abandoned motel on the Northeast Side.<\/p>\n
Officers responded around 8:45 a.m. to the motel in the 9500 block of Interstate 35 North after receiving a report of a deceased person, according to the San Antonio Police Department.<\/p>\n
Emergency medical crews pronounced the man dead at the scene. Police estimated he was between 40 and 50 years old, but his identity has not been released.<\/p>\n
Investigators found no signs of foul play or evidence that a crime had occurred, according to SAPD. Police classified the case as an apparent sudden death.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man and determine his cause and manner of death.<\/p>\n
