Highest coverage will be north of I-10.<\/p>\n<p>Tropics mostly quiet<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Atlantic remains unusually quiet for late August, with no organized tropical threat to Texas right now.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A tropical wave is expected to move off the coast of Africa where development may be possible as it moves across the Atlantic.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There&#8217;s a very low chance a brief weak tropical or subtropical system could form in the NE Atlantic over the next few days.
