Baines, who kept his cool during the wild encounter, stopped to pick up the cop\u2019s partner, who was giving chase but being outrun by the suspect, before the car took off again sped around the corner to the officers\u2019 patrol vehicle, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n
Once the officers got into their own squad car, Baines was free to pick up his passenger, who had been waiting patiently.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was just really in shock about what was taking place,\u201d he told Fox26. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis is something that I kind of think about only happened in action movies, where somebody was pursing a person and they call for a civilian to help.<\/p>\n
