The political group then deleted the post hours later. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Screenshot\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/JCVM4WIRRJA3DFLZ4P7M4BEWAU.jpeg\" width=\"980\" height=\"1114\" \/>Screenshot(Lubbock Young Republicans Facebook)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Democratic Party wrote the post \u201ccontained offensive racial rhetoric, explicitly urging voters to \u2018vote with the hard R\u2019, a clear and deliberate reference to a deeply harmful racial slur targeting the Black community.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cOur party condemns this recent post by the Lubbock Young Republicans, which includes one of the most offensively racist terms used against the African American community,\u201d said Gracie Gomez, chair of the Lubbock County Democratic Party.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Jordan Kirk of the Lubbock Young Republicans reached out to KCBD and released the following statement below.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201c \u2018Hard R\u2019 was campaign shorthand for a strong Republican voter. That was the meaning, and that was the intent. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIt was not a racial reference.
