ABC Auto Glass & Tint began operating under new ownership in Richardson in July, owner Umar Akhtar confirmed in an email. The auto shop has operated in Richardson since 1999.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur goal with the new ownership is to build on the history of the business while modernizing both the customer experience and the services we provide,\u201d Akhtar said in an email. \u201cWe have been investing in improvements to the shop, our branding, equipment, technology and overall operations.\u201d<\/p>\n

ABC Auto Glass & Tint will continue to offer windshield replacement, rock chip repair, side and rear glass replacement and insurance-related auto glass services, Akhtar said.<\/p>\n
Under the new ownership, he said ABC has expanded its services to include ceramic automotive window tinting, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems calibration and mobile auto glass service for qualifying customers and commercial accounts.<\/p>\n
Akhtar said additional changes include:<\/p>\n
Expanding the commercial and fleet auto glass program for dealerships and local businessesIntroducing payment plan options for windshield replacement, auto glass and window tint servicesImproving same-day service capabilities for windshield replacement and repairUpdating the customer experience, shop appearance and overall branding<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to preserve the name and history of a longtime Richardson business while taking it into its next chapter,\u201d Akhtar said.<\/p>\n
