Maynard Lefevers, one of five alleged sickos charged with torturing a half-naked woman in the backyard of an Austin, Texas, home,<\/a> was once obsessed with creating a \u201cbed of nails\u201d for himself, his granny told The Post.<\/p>\n

Lefevers, 21, collected thumbtacks to create a pin-point bed, which is often used in magic tricks, his paternal grandmother, Frankie Lefevers, revealed. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we were speaking the only thing he ever asked me for was thumbtacks for a bed of nails that he would make himself which I thought was strange,\u201d the 64-year-old said.<\/p>\n

Maynard Lefevers, 21, was arrested in connection to torturing a woman who
was chained up in the backyard of an Austin, Texas, home. Austin Police Dept.<\/p>\n

The granny had been excommunicated from her family for several years and learned from The Post that Maynard was accused of the nauseatingly horribly crimes.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my God!,\u201d Frankie Lefevers exclaimed Saturday. \u201cI would never expect anything like that from Maynard.\u201d<\/p>\n

Frankie Lefevers insisted her grandson was a good kid but his father \u2014 her son \u2014 is \u201can a\u2013.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMaynard was a really good boy but his dad was not a good role model. He moved in with his girlfriend and just left him,\u201d Lefevers said, adding her son Frank was in the clink when Maynard was born and left Maynard\u2019s mother when the boy was about 12 years old.<\/p>\n

Frank Lefevers could not be reached for comment.<\/p>\n

Maynard last spoke to his grandmother roughly two years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast I ran into Maynard was at Lowe\u2019s two Christmases ago and I gave him some money,\u201d she said. \u201cJust $20.\u201d<\/p>\n

The victim claimed to police that she had been locked up in the backyard of the home for weeks. Google maps<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was not working. He was mostly fighting with his mom who I no longer have contact with,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs much of a hard time that he had I would never expect anything like that from Maynard,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Maynard was one of five people arrested Oct. 30 by Austin police officers outside the home where an unidentified, injured woman was allegedly handcuffed to a punching bag stand.<\/p>\n

That victim, who was found naked from the waist down, said she had been kept in the backyard for weeks and imprisoned at the home for months.<\/p>\n

She told cops she was once a frequent visitor and friend of Michelle Garcia, 51, and stated \u201cat some point [the group] decided they no longer liked her,\u201d and instead tortured her, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Austin American-Statesman<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The group would allegedly feed the chained-up woman, who had mental health disorders, one meal a day and shoot BB guns at her at their leisure, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear exactly how long she was captive and how long she was kept outside.<\/p>\n

Michelle Garcia, 51, Juan Pablo Castro, 30, Crystal Garcia, 21, Mache Carney, 32, and Maynard Lefevers were all charged and remain in Travis County jail.<\/p>\n

Carney and Michelle Garcia return to court on Nov. 18 and 21, while Crystal Garcia, Castro and Lefevers are set to appear on Dec. 15.<\/p>\n
