Cole: Acclaimed rapper J. Cole’s tour is named after his long-awaited new album, “The Fall-Off,” which was released in February. He has reworked it as an ensemble piece, and 100A Productions has brought together a killer cast to bring it to life. In addition to Williams, the tale will be told by Kathy Couser, Linda Ford, Vincent Hardy, Michael Howard, Karen Jones, Cynthia Martinez Rodriguez, David Stahl and Will Mercer. Five teams will have 24 hours to write, rehearse and produce five one-act plays. Work starts Oct. 2 and the performances are Oct. 3, Northeast Lakeview College.<\/p>\n Los Tigres del Norte: The iconic norte\u00f1o band Los Tigres del Norte returns to San Antonio on its \u201cLos Tigres del Mundo\u201d tour. Immigration is one of Los Tigres\u2019 great subjects, which means the band, which has been performing for six decades, should sound as timely as ever. First up is La B\u00eate Productions’ staging\u00a0\u201cDracula: A Comedy of Terrors,\u201d<\/a> a gender-bending spoof of the story in which five actors play dozens of characters. Then Ballet San Antonio leaps in with Robert Forleo\u2019s spin on “Dracula,”<\/a> which was inspired by Francis Ford\u00a0Coppola\u2019s 1992 film.\u00a0\u201cDracula: A Comedy of Terrors,\u201d Oct. 15-Nov. 1, Woodlawn Pointe Community Center; \u201cDracula,\u201d Oct. 23-25,\u00a0Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.<\/p>\n Lisa Morales: The songwriters series hosted by Morales welcomes David Hidalgo and John Doe, whose very different bands\u00a0\u2014 the\u00a0conjunto-rock group Los Lobos and the rockabilly-inspired punks X\u00a0\u2014 both came out of Los Angeles in the early ’80s. Oct. 23-Nov. 14, Overtime Theater.<\/p>\n Fred Wesley and the New\u00a0JBs:<\/a> The Carver Community Cultural Center kicks off its season with Wesley, one of the forefathers of funk as well as one of James Brown\u2019s best-known sidemen. It includes pieces form 20 museums, including the Louvre and the Vatican Museums, including works that have rarely, if ever, been shown outside of Italy. The exhibit was organized by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. The San Antonio Museum of Art is the only other venue in the U.S. where it can be seen.
