Investigators believe speed may have been a factor.<\/p>\n<p>HOUSTON \u2014 A man was killed in a crash that shut down the 610 North Loop for hours early Thursday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>Houston police said the crash happened shortly before 12:30 a.m. on the North Loop.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said a man driving a Lexus was speeding before he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a barricade.<\/p>\n<p>The driver died on impact, according to police. He was the only person inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they believe speed may have been a factor in the deadly crash.<\/p>\n<p>The crash forced the 610 North Loop to close for hours overnight.
