If storms are able to strengthen, there\u2019s a low potential for hail, though this remains unlikely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">What to expect Thursday:<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Cooler temperatures will settle in across the South Plains on Thursday, with highs only reaching the low to mid-90s. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" fetchpriority=\"low\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"KCBD\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/O2JDWT6BYBA25CX445UG42YL6M.PNG\" width=\"980\" height=\"559\" \/>KCBD(KCBD)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Another round of storms is expected to move into the northeastern portion of the viewing area this afternoon and evening.
