{"id":418561,"date":"2026-08-27T20:56:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T20:56:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/418561\/"},"modified":"2026-08-27T20:56:10","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T20:56:10","slug":"students-relocated-to-stadium-after-middle-school-evacuation-in-carrollton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/418561\/","title":{"rendered":"Students relocated to stadium after middle school evacuation in Carrollton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/texas\/tag\/carrollton\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Carrollton middle school<\/a> have been relocated to a stadium for dismissal after the campus was evacuated and officials determined it was unsafe to re-enter the building.<\/p>\n<p>Families of students at Blalack Middle School were asked to pick up their children as soon as possible at Standridge Stadium, 1330 Valwood Parkway.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We ask parents picking up students to remain in their cars and refrain from walking toward the stadium as this will cause unnecessary delays,&#8221; Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD said in a statement. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to school officials, anyone picking up a student was asked to bring a photo ID and be listed as an authorized contact in Teams\/Parent Self Serve. Families were also asked to have the student&#8217;s ID number available.<\/p>\n<p>Students who normally ride the bus are still being transported home, though delays are expected, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/carrolltonmiddleschool.png#.png\" alt=\"carrolltonmiddleschool.png \" height=\"400\" width=\"620\" class=\" lazyload\"  loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                CBS News Texas Chopper<\/p>\n<p>The district said students are safe and being kept on air-conditioned buses.
