LOS ANGELES \u2014 James Talarico is headed to Los Angeles to raise money in his blockbuster Texas Senate race.<\/p>\n
“Lost” co-creator Damon Lindelof and his wife, Heidi, will host a fundraiser for Talarico, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Texas, in Brentwood on Sept. 10, according to an invitation obtained by POLITICO.<\/p>\n
The prominent TV showrunner, whose credits include “The Leftovers” and “Watchmen,” is a longtime supporter of Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. Lindelof, a three-time Emmy winner<\/a>, has also been outspoken at times: he penned a piece<\/a> for trade publication Deadline in 2024 urging President Joe Biden to end his reelection bid after his disastrous debate against Donald Trump days earlier.<\/p>\n Earlier this summer, the Lindelofs attended a star-studded fundraiser<\/a> for Talarico and three other candidates hosted by media executive Peter Chernin and his wife, Megan.<\/p>\n The get-in price for the Lindelofs’ evening affair in the tony LA enclave is $500, with the cost plateauing at $13,500.<\/p>\n Talarico, a prolific fundraiser and member of the Texas House of Representatives, is vying with Republican Ken Paxton, the state’s attorney general, to succeed Sen. John Cornyn.
