Ked’s Ice Cream is set to open at Stone Oak Shops, according to a recent state filing. Ked’s Ice Cream, Waffles, and Crepes listed San Antonio as one of several cities that it’s coming to soon. The permit shows that the new creamery will be dishing out its sweet treats at 19239 Stone Oak Parkway, Suite 106.

The official document also shows that construction on the new Ked’s of San Antonio is expected to start in early November and wrap up by mid-February next year. If all goes well, Ked’s Ice Cream will be offering more than 120 flavors to its new adoring customers by March 2026.

The sweet shop is actually a Texas-born establishment. Started in Plano, Texas, in 2009 as the Old Town Creamery, Ked’s Ice Cream began dishing out its award-winning ice cream to surrounding cities as a family-run business. Now, Ked’s Ice Cream is franchising. There are currently seven Ked’s Ice Cream locations, with plans to open several new locations in the coming years.

While the widely acclaimed ice cream is the foundation of this booming establishment, the cream is not all that Ked’s Ice Cream serves. Hussain Kedwaii started the brand with a focus on artisan ice cream but rebranded and expanded the menu to include crepes, waffles, bubble waffles, boba teas, and coffee.

The brand appears to be on its way to the best creamery in town. According to testimonials from customers, it already is.

“They have the best ice cream in town, and I love how they keep bringing new flavors very often. I highly recommend this place to all ice cream lovers out there, ” Anas of Plano, TX writes on the Ked’s Ice cream website.

“Amazing fresh fruit flavors and great customer service! Love this place, it’s one of a kind,” Sumana shared.

Now that the brand is franchising, more Texans will get to experience what Ted’s Ice Cream has to offer.

According to the permit, Kartik Mehta is listed as the tenant for the new creamery. What Now San Antonio attempted to reach out to Mehta to confirm details about the new eatery, but did not hear back by the time of this publication. Sanjay Misra of the Stone Oaks Shops confirmed that Mehta is the franchisee for the new Ted’s Ice Cream but couldn’t provide any further details.

According to the website, Ted’s Ice Cream has a simple mission: “to offer local communities some of the best tasting flavors from around the world and supreme quality products,” the website reads.

“Since our inception, we have maintained the same supreme quality products and customer service.”

Try out the ice cream and more when Ked’s Ice Cream, Waffles, and Crepes opens for the first time in San Antonio at 19239 Stone Oak Parkway, Suite 106, in March 2026.

Photo: Official

A new sweet and creamy treat is coming to San Antonio.
