SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio attorney, Arnulfo Ortiz, is defending himself against allegations claiming he placed his client\u2019s hands on his genitals and then kissed her at the Bexar County Courthouse.<\/p>\n
The incident allegedly happened on Sept. 11, 2024.<\/p>\n
According to Ortiz\u2019s arrest affidavit, the woman hired Ortiz to be her divorce attorney. She told a deputy that after her divorce proceeding, Ortiz escorted her to a conference room in the Bexar County Courthouse where he grabbed her hand and put it on her genitals. She then said Ortiz kissed her on the side of her mouth.<\/p>\n
Attorney Ortiz denies the allegations and says he can only speculate why she\u2019s making the accusations.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think she wanted me to call her,\u201d Ortiz said. \u201cI\u2019ve never ever made a phone call to her. I don\u2019t want to insult the lady. I know lots of good-looking clients. Lots of attractive clients. Lots of willing clients.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ortiz was arrested early Tuesday and accused of indecent assault. He posted bond hours later. He is now practicing out of his home. He says the allegations have severely hurt his credibility.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe career is already ruined,\u201d Ortiz said. \u201cI had a client come in; she says I have a gun. I had another woman come in with a bodyguard. Come on man.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ortiz says he\u2019s planning to represent himself in court, but he first wants to see any video evidence before making a final decision.<\/p>\n
\u201cI got to see that, and I\u2019m anxious to see it,\u201d Ortiz said.<\/p>\n
