A Houston photographer and filmmaker is on a mission to reconnect hundreds of people with a piece of their love stories.<\/p>\n
The bridge over Allen Parkway, known by some Houstonians as the \u201cLove Lock Bridge,\u201d has become a hidden landmark where couples have attached padlocks as symbols of their love.<\/p>\n
For years, photographer and filmmaker Chris Pi\u00f1on has been documenting the locks and the messages attached to them. When the locks were eventually removed from the bridge, Pi\u00f1on saved hundreds of them from ending up in the landfill.<\/p>\n
Now, he wants to find the people who placed them there.<\/p>\n
Pi\u00f1on recently made a short film documenting the story behind Houston\u2019s Love Lock Bridge. The film was submitted to this year\u2019s Houston Latino Film Festival.<\/p>\n
Pi\u00f1on says his role isn\u2019t to create the love stories, but to document them.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, Cupid\u2019s done his job already. I\u2019m just chronicling what he did,\u201d Pi\u00f1on said.<\/p>\n
