SAN ANTONIO \u2013 Storms swept through the San Antonio area Friday night, leaving damage across the region and thousands without power.<\/p>\n
As of 10:00 a.m. Saturday, more than 68,000 CPS Energy customers remain without power after Friday\u2019s storms. <\/p>\n

Delays are possible; if there is not a livestream available, please check back at a later time. <\/p>\n San Antonio Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones released a statement<\/a> Saturday saying CPS Energy is working to restore power to thousands of residents following the storms.<\/p>\n \u201cPower restoration efforts are expected to last into the weekend,\u201d Jones said. \u201cDebris clearance is underway, and please call 3-1-1 if you require assistance.\u201d <\/p>\n Residents having issues calling 311 is asked to report storm related assistance using the online reporting options.<\/p>\n Jones said libraries and park centers will serve as cooling centers during normal operating hours Saturday. Pets will be accepted at all locations.<\/p>\n In an X post update, Jones said the following three libraries are without power and will not serve as cooling centers:<\/p>\n Bazan Branch Library<\/p>\n Las Palmas Branch Library<\/p>\n San Pedro Branch Library<\/p>\n We\u2019re aware that some residents are having difficulty reaching 311 and CPS energy by phone.
