Police said a 27-year-old man then tried to flee on foot toward a bus.<\/p>\n<p>An officer made contact with the suspect, and a physical struggle followed, police said. The suspect allegedly hit the officer several times with a closed fist while trying to get away.<\/p>\n<p>The officer was transported to a local hospital for precautionary treatment.
