ARLINGTON\u00a0\u2014 Cowboys\u00a0wide receiver Jordan Hudson<\/a> finished the preseason with four catches for a team-high 97 yards with one touchdown in the team\u2019s 27-24 loss to the Saints.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, a federal judge blocked the\u00a0NCAA<\/a> from keeping several players from returning to college. Hudson along with Kansas City\u2019s Wesley\u00a0Bissainthe and Omari Evans were listed as plaintiffs who challenged the NCAA\u2019s rule.<\/p>\n

The ruling allows the players to either return to the college they previously attended, in Hudson\u2019s case SMU, or enter the transfer portal.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot as of right now,\u201d Hudson said Friday when asked if he would return to school. \u201cI\u2019m focusing on making this team. That\u2019s where my priority’s at. But if the opportunity comes and I get cut, then we\u2019ll figure it out when we get there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Friday was not only a busy night in football on the field, but off it, too.<\/p>\n

A Louisiana judge ruled the SEC isn\u2019t allowed to punish schools if they play a college football player who returns to campus after signing a contract with an NFL team this summer.<\/p>\n

In June, the\u00a0NCAA changed its eligibility rules to where an athlete can play five seasons in a five-year period. A group of seniors whose eligibility ended in 2026-27 were not available to play, but some counter sued to become eligible. The latest ruling prompted lawsuits and rules from conferences to prevent it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll figure it out when we get there,\u201d Hudson said. \u201cI ain\u2019t really worried about college football.
