Ella Langley\u00a0seems to be having fun with her quick rise to superstardom.<\/p>\n
The \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d singer\u00a0posted<\/a>\u00a0a carousel of new photos and videos to social media this week, and, in her caption, she seemed to poke fun at another artist\u2019s apparent dismissal of her accomplishments.<\/p>\n \u201cElla Langley? What is that?\u201d she wrote, appearing to reference comments made by pop singer Doja Cat earlier this week.<\/p>\n During an appearance on the\u00a0\u201cSundae Conversation\u201d<\/a>\u00a0podcast, Doja Cat was asked if she was a fan of Langley, to which she responded, \u201cI don\u2019t know what that is.\u201d<\/p>\n She sounded out her name a couple of times, and when the podcast hosts suggested she listen to Langley, telling her that she\u2019d like her, she said, \u201cOK.\u201d<\/p>\n Her comments earned mixed reactions, with some praising her for being authentic in her response about Langley and others accusing her of lying about not knowing who she is.<\/p>\n Ella Langley poked fun at Doja Cat\u2019s dismissal of her music in an Instagram post, writing, \u201cElla Langley? News<\/a>, and spoke further about Langley and her comments on the podcast.<\/p>\n \u201cI really don\u2019t just give a f\u2014 about country music, and I don\u2019t understand what\u2019s so hard to believe about that,\u201d she reportedly said. \u201cI never cared. I like that one\u00a0Keith Urban\u00a0song from 2004.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Doja Cat said that Langley is \u201cprobably a fine lady,\u201d but \u201cI don\u2019t care for that type of s\u2014 at all. It doesn\u2019t inspire me. It doesn\u2019t make me feel good.\u201d<\/p>\n Doja Cat sparked the beef by saying she didn\u2019t know Langley and she \u201cdoesn\u2019t give a f\u2014 about country music.\u201d Getty Images for MTV<\/p>\n According to E!, she listened to \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d on the stream, then said, \u201cThis is not my vibe, but she has a very pretty voice. If this is No. 1 on the charts, I\u2019m sure it\u2019s on the radio. I could see them playing this s\u2014 on the radio. I don\u2019t like it, but that\u2019s fine. It\u2019s very earwormy it sounds like, it\u2019s like [a] catchy melody. I get it, and she\u2019s pretty.\u201d<\/p>\n Fox News Digital has reached out to Doja Cat for comment.<\/p>\n In the comments on Langley\u2019s post, fans were quick to draw the connection to Doja Cat\u2019s original comments.<\/p>\n \u201cWe all know\u2026 Doja just wants to Be Her,\u201d one person wrote.<\/p>\n Another commented, \u201cMessy with that caption \ud83d\ude02 it\u2019s what I\u2019m here for.\u201d<\/p>\n Langley\u2019s hit \u2018Choosin\u2019 Texas\u2019 is a record-breaker, topping Billboard\u2019s Hot 100 for 19 weeks, a female country artist first. In 2022, she and SZA won the\u00a0Grammy\u00a0for best pop duo\/group performance<\/a> for their song \u201cKiss Me More,\u201d and she\u2019s been nominated several times.<\/p>\n
