(WSMV) &#8211; Emergency personnel from several fire departments across Tennessee are being sent to help with North Texas wildfires. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the Tennessee Fire Chiefs Association (TFCA), Texas submitted an Emergency Management Assistance Compact for structural support for the Ross fire in Palo Pinto and Jack counties.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Tennessee Mutual Aid System is supporting that request by sending a total of 29 personnel from Brentwood, Franklin, Madison County, Knoxville, Murfreesboro, Columbia and Maury County. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsmv.com\/page\/our-apps\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/WCZWEBRKNJC6BHZCWR4ZBCEHIA.png\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said that the Maury County Office of Emergency Management will be providing logistical support for the mission. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Units left Sunday morning and will be there for about 14 days to support structural fire protection, according to TFCA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cOur firefighters embody the Volunteer State\u2019s commitment to helping communities in their greatest time of need,\u201d said TEMA Commissioner Patrick C. Sheehan. \u201cTexas is facing dangerous and fast\u2011moving wildfire conditions, and Tennessee is proud to stand with them by sending skilled personnel and equipment prepared for extreme environments and extended operations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WSMV.
