Let’s face it: $2,000 at United Supermarkets <\/a>would come in pretty handy right about now.<\/p>\n

Groceries? Check. Steaks for the grill? Absolutely.<\/p>\n

Even better, there’s a chance to win $2,000 in United Supermarkets gift cards while supporting a Lubbock organization that’s been helping local children for more than two decades.<\/p>\n

FosterALife <\/a>and United Supermarkets are teaming up for a special raffle with TWO $2,000 grand prizes.<\/p>\n

And only 1,000 raffle tickets will be sold.<\/p>\n

The drawing will be held Saturday, September 26th, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the United Supermarkets location at 6313 4th Street in Lubbock.<\/p>\n

There will be two grand-prize drawings, with each winner receiving $2,000 in United Supermarkets gift cards.<\/p>\n

The fundraiser benefits FosterALife, which works with children involved with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services<\/a> throughout Lubbock County and 17 surrounding counties.<\/p>\n

FosterALife Has Been Helping West Texas Kids Since 2004<\/p>\n

Founded by Dr. Shaun Keel in 2004, FosterALife is celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year!<\/p>\n

The organization’s mission is to provide assistance, services and opportunities that might otherwise be unavailable to children who have experienced abuse, neglect or abandonment.<\/p>\n

That includes kids currently involved with DFPS as well as young people who have aged out of foster care, have been adopted or continue receiving DFPS services.<\/p>\n

And some of the programs are things you might never think about.<\/p>\n

From Suitcases to Prom Dresses<\/p>\n

Journey Gear provides children with actual suitcases for their belongings so they don’t have to move from place to place carrying their possessions in trash bags.<\/p>\n

The Prom Expo helps provide dresses, shoes and accessories so kids can enjoy one of those big high-school experiences.<\/p>\n

The Hope Chest helps young adults who’ve graduated from high school get started with basic household necessities like dishes, bedding and microwaves.<\/p>\n

There’s also a Happy Birthday Program, created for children who may never have experienced someone making a big deal out of their birthday.<\/p>\n

Kids Art Journey encourages children to explore their creativity through art, while Preston’s Purpose<\/a> honors foster youth whose lives were cut short before they had the opportunity to discover their own purpose.<\/p>\n

The raffle drawing happens September 26th at the 4th Street United Supermarkets.<\/p>\n

Two people will walk away with $2,000 apiece in United gift cards.<\/p>\n

But the real payoff is helping FosterALife continue doing some pretty remarkable things for kids right here in West Texas.<\/p>\n
