{"id":422125,"date":"2026-08-31T20:14:08","date_gmt":"2026-08-31T20:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/422125\/"},"modified":"2026-08-31T20:14:08","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T20:14:08","slug":"porchlight-books-to-bring-independent-bookstore-pop-ups-to-richardson-richardson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/422125\/","title":{"rendered":"Porchlight Books to bring independent bookstore pop-ups to Richardson | Richardson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new independent bookseller is coming to Richardson. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/porchlightbookstx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Porchlight Books<\/a> is launching this fall as a pop-up bookstore, focusing primarily on events in Richardson and the surrounding North Dallas area, owner Ann Halff said in an email.<\/p>\n<p>The bookstore\u2019s first event will be at The Boho Market at CityLine Plaza on Sept. 11, with future pop-ups to be announced on the store\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/porchlightbookstx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of the things I&#8217;m most excited about is creating a bookstore experience that feels approachable to all and community-driven,\u201d Halff said. \u201cI have a deep love for bookstores because they are more than just a place to buy books; they are gathering places for the community to learn and grow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The details<\/p>\n<p>Halff said Porchlight Books will offer \u201ca wide range of books from day one,\u201d including children\u2019s picture books, middle-grade and YA books and adult fiction and nonfiction. The store will also include bookish merchandise from independent artists, including stickers, bookmarks, apparel and Kindle accessories.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUltimately, my goal is to open a brick-and-mortar independent bookstore in Richardson, but until then, Porchlight Books will be a pop-up bookstore that allows us to participate in local events, build a community of readers and prove the concept as we grow,\u201d Halff said.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A new independent bookseller is coming to Richardson.
