But they&#8217;ll want to grab those Thanksgiving Day meals early, as those upgrades could impact shoppers during the holiday season.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/business\/article\/heb-new-store-signage-san-marcos-texas-22406525.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">H-E-B<\/a> first opened its Alon Market store in 2008 and has been one of Alamo City&#8217;s favorite destinations for loyal shoppers ever since. From its deli and produce to its home goods section and South\u00a0Flo Pizza, the Alon H-E-B has been drawing customers from across the city for almost two decades. Now H-E-B is planning almost half a million dollars worth of upgrades to the longtime shop.<\/p>\n<p>The project is set to start on November 6 and is expected to wrap up by December 31, just in time for the New Year, according to a new filing with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tdlr.texas.gov\/TABS\/Search\/Project\/TABS2026029095\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation<\/a> (TDLR). It is unclear whether the store will be fully or partially closed during that time, so shoppers could be impacted during the holidays. All told, the upgrade is expected to cost upwards of $572,000, although all\u00a0TDLR filings are subject to change without notice.<\/p>\n<p>MySA has reached out to H-E-B for comment on the Alon Market remodel.<\/p>\n<p>Find it: 8503 NW Military Highway,\u00a0San Antonio, TX 78230<\/p>\n<p>The Alon H-E-B isn&#8217;t the only store getting upgrades. After more than 40 years, longtime Las Palmas H-E-B will see massive renovations, all without losing access to their beloved neighborhood grocer.<\/p>\n<p>H-E-B announced in a news release on August 24 that the Las Palmas H-E-B on San Antonio&#8217;s Westside will soon begin renovations to &#8220;introduce a modernized storefront&#8221; and a new interior layout to &#8220;expand product selections and improve the overall shopping experience.<\/p>\n<p>The upgrades are expected to wrap up by late 2027, but the\u00a0H-E-B will remain open during the entire process.<\/p>\n<p>The Las Palmas H-E-B first opened in the 1950s as a department store but has been serving San Antonio as an H-E-B since 1982, according to the news release.
