LUBBOCK, Texas <\/a>\u2014 UMC Health System announced it is set to host the 2026 Fall Prevention Event, a community-focused educational program designed to help individuals reduce their risk of falls and maintain a safe, active lifestyle.<\/p>\n

The event will take place on Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the UMC Outpatient Center, located at 7105 Kewanee Avenue.<\/p>\n

Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with a range of community health and wellness providers offering critical resources, mobility assessments, and expert advice.<\/p>\n

UMC said the goal of the event is to ensure every participant leaves equipped with the tools and knowledge they need for better health and mobility.<\/p>\n

Attendees can expect a variety of services and activities, including:<\/p>\n

Fall risk assessments conducted by Physical Therapists<\/p>\n

Balance classes offered by UMC\u2019s Activities Center<\/p>\n

Information on staying active in the community<\/p>\n

Hearing and memory\/cognition screenings<\/p>\n

Insights into UMC\u2019s Rx Perks Clinic and UMC Health & Wellness Hospital<\/p>\n

Home safety tips from Lubbock Fire Rescue and UMC\u2019s Burn and Trauma Team<\/p>\n
