A fast-growing player in the electric vehicle market is doubling down on North Texas.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lucid<\/a> is adding a new site in Dallas that\u2019s expected to serve as a sales, delivery and service center, according to Lucid. The site is set to be at 2439 Irving St., which would put it near the\u00a0Design District<\/a>, according to a job posting.<\/p>\n

The new locale follows its first local showroom at Legacy West in\u00a0Plano <\/a>in 2022. Yet \u201cthe Dallas facility will be significantly larger\u201d to accommodate service operations, Lucid said in an email.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The opening date for the new site will be announced in the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Dallas-Fort Worth region continues to demonstrate strong growth in electric vehicle adoption, making it an important market for Lucid,\u201d Lucid said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The California-based company is seeing more consumers embrace electric vehicles even as it competes with the likes of Tesla,\u00a0Rivian, Mercedez-Benz and others. Lucid generated second-quarter revenue of over $400 million, up over 50% from the year-ago period.<\/p>\n

The company is continuing to strengthen and broaden its retail and service footprint in key markets nationwide,\u00a0Lucid said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLucid is expanding into Dallas proper to support growing interest in electric vehicles in the market and to provide a more convenient service experience for current and future owners,\u201d Lucid\u00a0said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
