When it was announced last year, Bar\u00a0Bludorn<\/a> became one of two hotly anticipated restaurants in The Woodlands. The other was Austin Simmons’ Charolais<\/a>, a ranch-to-table steakhouse, that opened over the summer. Today, we know when the more-relaxed tavern\u00a0spinoff will open along the Waterway.<\/p>\n

The Bar Bludorn will open on Sept. 26, at 25 Waterway Ave. Once launched, the restaurant will mark the Bludorn Hospitality Group’s first location “outside-Central Houston,” which first opened in the Memorial area in 2024. In a statement, chef and partner Aaron\u00a0Bludorn said it’s a big step for their restaurant group.<\/p>\n

“We are excited to introduce a menu and experience that reflects The Woodlands while still delivering the same Houston-inspired hospitality our guests know from Bar Bludorn in Memorial,” Bludorn said.<\/p>\n

I imagine this is all welcome news for Woodlands foodies who were undertaking the long trek to the flagship Bar Bludorn at 9061 Gaylord Dr. in Hedwig Village. The Waterway location is sticking to the script, mostly. According to the news release, the restaurant will offer the same signature dishes as the original. I have to assume that includes the country ham\u00a0beignets, the Martellus and all the other bistro-meets-Texas fare.<\/p>\n

Bar Bludorn’s Woodlands location will have some new things too. There will be a private dining room, outdoor patio seating, and some extra menu items.<\/p>\n

The Bludorn Hospitality Group has been steadily growing under the helm of Aaron, Victoria Pappas Bludorn and Cherif Mbodji. The trio opened their first restaurant, Bludorn, in Fourth Ward off Allen Parkway in 2020. Since then, the group now has four running concepts in the Houston area: Bludorn, Bar Bludorn, Perseid, and Navy Blue.
