{"id":424431,"date":"2026-09-02T23:24:27","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T23:24:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/424431\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T23:24:27","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T23:24:27","slug":"motorcyclist-dies-in-east-el-paso-crash-police-say-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/424431\/","title":{"rendered":"Motorcyclist dies in East El Paso crash, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A 21-year-old motorcyclist died Monday afternoon after a collision at the intersection of Pebble Hills Boulevard and Nolan Richardson Drive, according to El Paso police.<\/p>\n<p>Police said officers responded about 3:23 p.m. to a crash involving a 2019 Mazda CX-9 and a 2007 Kawasaki ZX6 motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators said the Mazda was driving east on Pebble Hills while the motorcycle was traveling west at a high rate of speed, officials said. <\/p>\n<p>The Mazda driver attempted to turn left onto Nolan Richardson when the motorcycle struck the vehicle, police said.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs4local.com\/news\/local\/one-person-in-serious-condition-after-crash-involving-motorbike-in-east-el-paso?src=link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">One person in serious condition after crash involving motorbike in East El Paso<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The motorcycle rider, identified as Eric Scott Spink of El Paso, was thrown from the motorcycle and later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The Mazda driver was accompanied by two child passengers, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Police said failure to yield the right of way and speed were contributing factors in the crash.
