Texas Tech hit a new enrollment record this fall, and apparently, it comes with a side of “Where the hell am I supposed to park?”<\/p>\n
There are 45,812 students this year, the first time Texas Tech has ever topped 45,000<\/a>, and that’s a major increase.<\/p>\n Now, students are learning the hard way that you can fit 45,812 onto campus a whole heck of a lot easier than you can fit ALL of their cars…<\/p>\n Local reporting from\u00a0KAMC says that students have been complaining<\/a> that finding a parking spot is a daily frustrating challenge.<\/p>\n The part that’s making them REALLY angry?<\/p>\n They are paying for parking…<\/p>\n For the 2026-2027 academic year, parking ranges<\/a> from $45 for a commuter satellite permit to a whopping $570 for the Flint Avenue Garage. Commuter surface permits cost $175.<\/p>\n The thing is, paying for an ePermit doesn’t mean you have a little reserved spot<\/a> with your name on it. The spots are first-come, first-served.
